DIY Painted Wood Bear Ornaments

Hi again! Here is a last Christmas post! I wanted to share with you these little ornaments that I made for my students. Our class Mascott is a little black bear, so I thought why not paint them little bears and add their names with some vinyl (cut with my Cricut). I love these wood slices that I found on Amazon (I bought the pack of 20), they give the painting a little rustic feel. They even came with string to hang them! My students were so surprised and grateful. They didn’t understand how I made them or that they were real wood slices. One child shouted “I’m going to keep this forever!” and another told me that she has a spot where she hides things (a memory box?) and she was going to hide this so that she can put this in her tree when she was old. How cute is that!?

Merry Christmas my little bear cubs! Joyeux Noel mes petits oursons!

I used these wood slices, names with with pernanent vinyl, some acrylic paint and a coat od Mod Podge to seal everything.
