Hi there! I wanted to share with you these lovely little “gingerbread” houses I made with my students as gifts for their parents. These are just so cute! I used to use little milk cartons (see my old blog post here) but it took so long cleaning and painting them. So now, I just cut them with my Cricut. I created a sweet file and cut them all out from brown kraft paper cardstock before letting the kids decorate and assemble them. The base is a little piece of foamcore that should stand the test of time. We added some glitter, some paper straws for the candy canes , some cotton balls for the snow and some pipe cleaners too. Pop a little battery powered candle in there and voilà! The cutest!
Here is my Cricut File for anyone interested! Just assemble to “body” of the house and then glue the roof on with come hot glue.
