Hi there! I wanted to share with you these lovely little “gingerbread” houses I made with my students as gifts for their parents. These are just so cute! I used to use little milk cartons (see my old blog post here) but it took so long cleaning and painting them. So now, I just cut them with my Cricut. I created a sweet file and cut them all out from brown kraft paper cardstock before letting the kids decorate and assemble them. The base is a little piece of foamcore that should stand the test of time. We added some glitter, some paper straws for the candy canes , some cotton balls for the snow and some pipe cleaners too. Pop a little battery powered candle in there and voilĂ ! The cutest!
Here is my Cricut File for anyone interested! Just assemble to “body” of the house and then glue the roof on with come hot glue.
