DIY Poang chair slipcover

Hi there! I wanted to share something I did last Spring when we were getting our nursery ready. I bought a second hand Poang rocking chair on Marketplace and thought the flowers would be lovely in the baby’s room. Well once we had our lovely curtains up and the sage green accent wall, I realized it looked awful! I didn’t want to buy a new cushion so I looked online for a way to save/cover the cushion. I came upon this wonderful tutorial on the blog Polished Habitat.

I wasn’t sure about the dimensions, but I followed then exactly, and low and behold, it’s perfect! I even used some discounted outdoor fabric (for about $15! Woot!) so it’s been easy to wipe milk spills. I just love how good it looks in the room!
